Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone!!!

WELCOME!!
If you're reading this, you have- in one way or another- supported me in this crazy decision to go to Africa! I want to thank everyone SO much for being a part of this opportunity. To be able to teach in Manhattan has been one of the best, most rewarding experiences of my life, and I can only imagine what it will be like to teach a million miles away from home. You all have given me this chance, and for that I am truly grateful!

I leave TODAY! In several hours i'll board a plain to Dubai, making connections to Kampala, Uganda! I don't know many more details than that- other than to make sure that I don't forget to pack my brain! The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of compilation; trying to organize 9 months of planning into four weeks of teaching is a challenge to say the least. I will have my computer (to write you lovely people every day) and also a satellite phone (which as David, from 'Satellite Phones Inc.', has promised WILL work when I'm not around buildings and trees... so basically when I'm not in New York City!). Yet, with any stress of planning, comes the beautiful accompaniment of excitement! I am truly excited and CHARGED! (if I can say that?) to take this journey! And if you're following along, I hope you enjoy taking the journey with me!

Thank you all!

I'll see you in Uganda!

Love always,
Carly
